Lara always had a passion to improve the environment around her. Lara studied chemistry in a Bachelor of Science and a PhD that took her back to her childhood favourite: soils and the chance to get her hands “dirty”. Lara has a role at the Environment Protection Authority, Water Quality Branch, where she provides specialist advice for chemistry related water quality issues and activities of environmental significance. This challenging role requires problem solving skills and answering questions across a range of disciplines. She enjoys the daily opportunities in her work at the EPA, to improve and protect South Australia’s environment.
